Bridget was the first model to grace the Graphics Metropolis feature Project.

Check out my interview with today’s featured creative, Bridget:

GM: Hello Bridget! Thank you for joining the Graphics Metropolis Feature Project. How did you learn about the project and what motivated you to join?

BA: I learned about this project on Graphics Metrolpolis Model Mayhem Website. I saw a casting call for a model to be featured and I decided to sign up and send in my picture. Irvin is such a talented photographer, his photographs is what truly motivated me to join.

GM: How was your experience with the whole process?

BA: My experience couldn’t have been more amazing! Everything was very professional and I enjoyed every second of it.

GM
:  What is the best part of the experience for you?

BA: Every part was my favorite. I never wanted the shoot to end! No matter how many malfunctions there were with the weather, we kept on going…and we ROCKED IT!

GM: Tell us something crazy and interesting about you.

BA: Hmmm…something crazy and interesting about me. Well, I believe there is no one else out there quite like me. I have a very outgoing personality and I’m not afraid to show people who I really am. I’m very comfortable in my own skin, and I don’t believe in judgement! I am who I am, take it or leave it.

GM:
How long have you been modeling?
When did you start and how?

BA: I’ve been modeling for quite sometime. My dad’s a director, so I pretty much grew up in front of the camera. I fell in love with modeling and the whole aspect of it at a young age. I mainly focused on performing as I grew up and am now an aspiring actress. I began modeling when I was offered to pose for Guess. My childhood friend’s father owns Guess and they offered me an amazing opportunity to be in my first photoshoot! Even though it was freezing and I was only wearing a bathing suit on the beach..It didn’t even matter to me, that’s when I realized how much I loved this.

GM: Who is/are your fashion idols?
Have you ever met any of them in person?

BA: I have MANY fashion idols. I love Kate moss, Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen, Blake Lively, Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, Edie Sedgwick…the list goes on an on. I’ve been looking at my mother’s old photos from when she was in high school and then some in her 20s…I’ve recently learned my own mother is one of my fashion icons!  Sadly, I haven’t met any of them in person, except for my mother of course…but I hope my dreams of meeting them will one day become a reality.

GM: My team loves you a lot. You are so young (18) yet you’re really professional about your craft (modeling). What advice can you give to other young folks who wanted to be on the business?

BA: Aww…well I love the team a lot! The best advice I can give is, NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU YOU’RE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT. Always believe in yourself, never let anyone tell you what to do or not do. The fashion world is a HARD business, you have to make sure to always stay true to yourself. Hard work eventually pays off…NEVER give up.

GM:
Any upcoming projects in the future?

BA: I hope I’ll have many upcoming projects in the future! I’ve been wanting to go to NYC for college for my whole life now. I recently applied to many schools in NY and can’t wait to hear back from them after my auditions. Once I’m in NYC, I can’t wait to climb through the many open doors coming my way.

GM: Where can people see more of Bridget?
Any website/portfolio site that you can direct your fans at?

BA: If you have a model mayhem you can find me at Modelmayhem.com/Bridget_Avildsen

I’m going to be making a website soon!
